A Corbyn Government Seen As A Big Short
If you have seen the film ‘The Big Short’ you may well know that it was based on the book by Michael Lewis about the financial sector crash way back in 2008. It centred around a mega-bear of the US economy at that time – Steve Eisman.
He now works with investment management firm Neuberger Berman and is still big in ‘shorting’ markets and stocks. Eisman was recently over in the UK and he is not optimistic about the UK coming out of the EU.
Furthermore, he is monitoring around 30 UK stocks currently and has declared that he would be shorting some or all of those stocks if Jeremy Corbyn was to form the next UK Government. Eisman said that JC would be a far larger threat to UK markets than Brexit itself.
